Signs that i will go into labour soon?

I am pregnant with my 2nd child, I am almost 34 weeks, and have been suffering with cramps on and off for 3-4 weeks, I felt like the other day I had my show although there was no blood like with my 1st however after speaking with a midwife over the phone, she said it sounded more like l discharge. I had discharge through my 1st pregnancy and have again through my 2nd and it was nothing like the discharge am used to. I last attended my midwife on the 7th of Aug were i was told the babys head was down 4/5ths, since then ive been told that this is really unusual with a second pregnancy :S. For around the last month i have experienced sharp shooting pains in my that are quite painful and seem to take my breath away. At first these pains only occured every couple of days and were quite sparse however for the past 2 weeks they have occured every day at least 4times a day. And finally today family and friends have commented on how low my bump has dropped saying they think the baby has dropped. The past couple of days i feel like i have been waddling around instead of walking, i also find it easier to breath and feel like i dont have to go to the loo as often as i was. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
